A month ago I put together an article on Google Glass and it coming to the UK, I mentioned the retail price would be £892 - but it looks like it's more around the £1000 mark!
An estimated 300,000 people are wearing Google Glass in the US - I'm not sure there will that kind of demand will be here in the UK...
As our recent post suggests we have a massive tradition here in the UK for invention and innovation but with a £1000 price tag and calling out commands like "Google Glass, take a picture" in public is the UK going to embrace Glass as much as the USA? Anyone else think it will be a slow burner?
At the UK launch, Marketing Director of Google Glass Ed Sanders said: "One of the reasons we're here in the UK is the country's spirit of innovation. The consumers, developers and inventors in the UK have a very rich heritage of embracing new technology. "Glass is not a finished product yet and part of the spirit of the explorer programme is so that we can work closely with developers and consumers in the UK at a local level to find out what will take the product forward."
